Carbon Intelligence Platform
Earthchain's platform for turning everyday business data into auditable emissions figures, with an AI assistant built in.
Most businesses already have the data they need to measure their carbon footprint. It's buried in invoices, utility bills, travel bookings, cloud bills and supplier spreadsheets. The Carbon Intelligence Platform, which we build at Earthchain, turns that raw data into emissions figures a business can report on and act on.
What it does
- Ingests real-world data from documents, spreadsheets and integrations, including cloud-provider usage for IT emissions.
- Maps activity to emissions factors using curated factor libraries, with lookups, staleness checks and FX conversion for spend-based methods.
- Product footprints: life-cycle assessment and EN 15804 Environmental Product Declaration generation.
- Agents that collect the evidence: cadences link each supplier or facility to the evidence it owes and how often. The agent emails the right contact when it's due, checks what arrives against what was expected, chases the specific gap (two bills for three meters), and escalates to a person when it can't be closed.
- Institutional knowledge in plain language, such as "assume 24 cartons per case unless the delivery record says otherwise", applied consistently and recorded alongside every figure it touches.
- AI assistant that answers questions over a company's own data, proposes bulk changes for a human to approve, and works inside explicit guardrails.
- Anomaly detection and reporting to catch gaps and outliers before they reach a disclosure.
How it's built
A Go monorepo of services (portal, task manager, emissions-factor API, retrieval ingestion workers and evaluation harnesses) with a TypeScript front end, deployed across AWS and Azure with secrets managed in both clouds. Regression and smoke tests run in CI against every deployment.
My role
I'm CEO and co-founder of Earthchain. [Add one or two outcomes, such as customers onboarded, reporting time saved, or data volumes processed.]
